The IRATA Rope Access Safety Supervisor (RASS) Training is the essential next step for all current IRATA Level 3 technicians ready to move into a leadership position.
As the sole provider of IRATA RASS training in New Zealand, Heads Up Training is your exclusive destination for this advanced qualification.

This qualification is critical for maintaining IRATA International's safe system of work and provides an assured standard of supervisory proficiency in the rope access industry. The role of the RASS includes the Direct Supervision of on-site rope access operations, requiring the competence and authority to act whenever necessary to ensure the safety of the rope access technicians, the public, and the worksite.
The training is delivered over a minimum of 2 days (14 hours) and is purely theory-based, as your practical competency is already demonstrated by your valid IRATA Level 3 certification.
This advanced course is designed to formalise your expertise for high-responsibility supervisory, technical authority, or management roles. You will gain the critical knowledge required to oversee and manage complex rope access operations, with a strong focus on applying the strict IRATA safety standards, including the ICOP, TACS, and RASS-TACS.
